Santa Maria del Pi is a gothic church located in the gothic quarter, in the old town (Ciudad Vella) of Barcelona.
The actual building was constructed between 1319 - 1320 and 1391. The style of the church is completely gothic, and persists of a single main ship nearly without ornaments. After a fire destroying parts of the church, it received it's gothic character in the front and rear part.
The location of this cathedral is in the heart of the touristic Barcelona city centre. In the closer surrounding you will find a lot of cafés, shops and museums. Las Ramblas is just some few steps away.
